Client: Zelli Handbags

Zelli Handbags is an e-commerce website for luxury leather handbags.
Engagement with the business began with a logo design contest, after which the client intended to build an e-commerce website for a luxury handbag brand. The contest gave me ample background information going into the user research and interface design. My team and I took on various aspects of the website, conducting research to gain an in-depth understanding of the clients' ideal and potential customers.

UX planning was done to ensure that I knew exactly who I was speaking to and designing for. This would play into legibility and how simple the configurator was to figure out.

I worked with another designer who helped create the illustrations that would represent the handbag designs. These were used to simplify navigation for users.

The focus was on combining typically feminine flowers with male models

Configurators

I was brought on to help design Zelli's e-commerce website for their new product strategy.

A deep dive into the lifestyle and mindset of the quintessential Texan woman (with a healthy amount of disposable income) was a key aspect of garnering understanding that allowed us to adjust language and visuals to cater to the individual that will be shopping through the website.

A well-designed handbag can be quite the conversation-starter. When it came to Zelli, we wanted to ensure that the buyer would not only talk about the handbag itself, but the fact that she designed it, and it was her own unique style - much like one would customize a new car.
